2024

April 28: Laser ran his QC in the morning. After a clean run, he then ran a single to earn his first pass towards his Senior Courser title. The weather heated up, so we pulled him from the finals. Watch his QC run below.

April 11: Laser took the field again and had another good run despite the heat, to earn his Junior Courser title. He is now known as Ch. Symar Light Show, JC. Watch him on the video (below) for yourself!

March 8 - 10: Back in the ring, Laser takes WD and BoW for a 3 point major on Day 1 at Malibu KC. On Day 2, he was awarded WD for another point. On Day 3, he again won WD and BoW for another 3 point major to finish his Championship! He is now formally known as Champion Symar Light Show. Laser is the 5th puppy from the T x Elli Mae litter to finish.

February 18: Laser took to the field and had a great run at Prado Recreation Park, earning the first leg towards his JC. The day was clear and crisp and the field was beautiful. To say he was enthusiastic would be an understatement!

January 21: At the Central Iowa Kennel Club, Rashabar finishes strong with his FIFTH major under breeder Judge Amy Sorbie! Rasabar is the 3rd of the Hal x Elli Mae litter to finish.
He is owned by Mike and Josie Haumont. Now, back to the field!!

2023

October 21 - 22: At the Borzoi Club of Northern California, Gunner, right, is awarded Best of Breed over an entry of 46! This is Symar's first Home-Bred BISS winner! The following day at Del Valle KC, he takes Select Dog for 5 more Grand Championship Points!! Gunner is owned by Barb Simpson, Audrey Boyer, and Sydney Burnside.

October 7 - 8: At the Cornhusker Kennel Club of Lincoln Nebraska and Borzoi Club of Greater Omaha back-to-back shows, Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon garnered TWO Majors!! Rashabar is from the Hal x Elli Mae litter and owned by Mike and Josie Haumont.

June 23 - 25: At the shows in City of Industry, Jade finishes her Championship on day #1, then earns Select Bitch the following two days for 2 Grand Championship points! She is now officially, Ch. Symar Tell The World I'm Here.

June 16, 18: At Bahia Sur KC in Valley Center, Jade (left) wins TWO majors and is now 1 point away from her Championship!!

June 10 - 11: Gunner (right) attends Woofstock in Vallejo CA and takes First AOM at the Borzoi Club of Northern California Specialty. The next day he is awarded Select Dog for 5 more points towards his Grand Championship. GROOVY!

June 1: Crush (Ch. Symar Tell Me Your Secrets, BCAT) gives birth to 8 strong, healthy puppies: 3 boys and 5 girls in assorted colors. Proud papa GCh. Brolin Golightly Flashinredlyte is busy handing out cigars, while Crush's owner Alexis Robertson keeps everybody clean and well fed!

February 26: At Silver Bay KC in Del Mar CA, Rufus (left) grabbed that last point to earn his Championship. Rufus is now formally known as
Ch. Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It. He will begin his Specials career later in the year.

2022

October 15-16: At Black Mountain KC in Henderson NV, Jade (left) goes WB both days for another 2 points! Jade is from the Show and Tell litter (GCH-B Estet Classic Tihomir x GCh. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC)

October 9: Rashabar (Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon, GRC) right, is WD/BoW at the Borzoi Club of Greater Omaha Specialty #2 for a 5 point major!! Rashabar is from the Elements litter (GCh Oxota Avalon Halberd, CGC, SC, LCM, DCh x GCh. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC) and is owned by Mike and Josie Haumont.

September 24 and 25: At the Donner Trail KC shows, Gunner (Ch. Symar Tell It To The Marines) left, earns a Group 2 and Group 3, expertly handled by his Junior pal, Audrey Boyer. Meanwhile in Prescott AZ, litter sister Jade (Symar Tell the World, I'm Here) makes her ring debut and picks up 2 points!

September 9: Paladin earns his Grand Championship! Paladin is now GCh. Sunburst-Symar Paladin, JC.

June 29: At the Lawton Dog Fanciers Association in Oklahoma, Sissy (left) goes WB and BoS for 2 more points! She needs only a major to finish!

June 17 and 18: Sissy (Symar Kadlec Kiss and Tell) takes Breed on Friday, while brother Rufus earns BoS. On Saturday, Rufus (Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It) right, wins a 4 POINT MAJOR!

June 11: At the Borzoi Club of Northern California, held in conjunction with the Woofstock cluster, Gunner takes 1st AoM in a strong Specials line-up!

May 13: In Albquerque New Mexico, Sissy (Symar Kadlec Kiss and Tell) takes WB and BoW for a 5 POINT MAJOR! (right) Sissy is a littermate to Crush, Gunner, Laser and Rufus and is owned by Gwen Little and Natasha Burtch.

April 30: This time Laser (Symar Light Show) was Winners Dog and Rufus (Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It) took Reserve to his brother. Both are only a few points shy of finishing their Championships.

Meanwhile in Mesquite, Texas, Ch. Symar Tell It To The Marines (Gunner) and Junior Handler Audrey Boyer made a respectable showing (video clip, left) at the Borzoi Club of America National Specialty Show. Gunner had many admirerers, Audrey attended her first National Specialty and rode in a limousine, and we all had a great time making new friends!

April 21-24: Another great weekend for the Symar Hounds! On Thursday, Rufus (Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It) was Winners Dog and Best of Winners. We took Friday off, but came back to earn WD on Saturday and Sunday. Laser (Symar Light Show) was Reserve both days to his brother.

April 15-17: Symar Borzoi show strong in California! On Friday, Symar Tell Me Your Secrets (right) was Winners Bitch for a major at the Borzoi Club of California Specialty Show in Silverado! Crush is loved and pampered by Alexis Robertson.

On Saturday, up in NorCal at the Sacramento KC show, her brother Gunner (Ch. Symar Tell It To The Marines) was busy with his gal-pal Audrey Boyer taking Select Dog and BoB Owner Handler. Meanwhile, Crush took it up a notch at Day One of the Western Hound Association of Southern California show. She was Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners for her second major! Pending AKC approval, Crush will now sport the moniker Champion Symar Tell Me Your Secrets, BCAT.

Sunday, Gunner had a repeat performance in the breed ring, taking Select Dog and BoB OH. He decided to up the ante and garnered an OH Group 4. Crush, in her debut as a Special, earned a Select Bitch award from breeder judge Daniel Foran. Gunner and Crush's father "T" (GCh. Estet Classic Tihomir) was awarded Best of Breed.

April 9: Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon earns his GRC (Gazehound Racing Championship)! Rashabar will continue towards his SGRC in the fall as well as making appearances in the show ring. Hal and Elli Mae are so proud of their kids from the "Elements" litter!!

March 27: Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon earns 2 points towards his GRC, bringing his total to 11.5 points! He needs 1/2 point for his GRC title.

March 20: Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon continues to tear up the course taking 2 more points towards his GRC (Gazehound Racing Championship) and bringing his total to 9 1/2 points! He finished FIRST in a field of 5. Rashabar is owned by Josie and Mike Haumont

March 2022: EXCITING NEWS! GCh. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC (below right) ties for Top Producing Dam for 2021. Elli Mae is proud of all her offspring and we are grateful for the recognition and support!

February 26-27: Symar Borzoi showed strong in SoCal this weekend. On Saturday, Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It (Rufus, left), was Reserve WD to a 4 point major.

Sunday he upped his game and was WD for a major! His sister Crush (Symar Tell Me Your Secrets, BCAT) was Reserve WB to a major. Both Rufus and Crush are from the Show and Tell Litter (T x Elli Mae).

2021

December 4-5 and 18-19: Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon continues to tear up the course taking 2 more points towards his GRC and bringing his total to 7 points! Rashabar is from the "Elments" litter (Hal x Elli Mae) He will be in the field and in the ring in 2022.

October 30-31: Symar Borzoi are again in the ribbons all over California! On Saturday, Gunner (Ch. Symar Tell it to the Marines) is Select Dog up in Dixon, CA at the Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers show. He also was Owner Handler Hound Group 2. Meanwhile, his brother Laser (Symar Light Show) is WD down in SoCal at the KC Riverside show at Lake Perris, CA. Sunday, Gunner was BOS and BOBOH. Laser was WD and BOW and had a serious look for Best of Breed. These kids are growing up beautifully.

October 15-17: Symar Borzoi make a strong showing in 3 states! On Friday, Crush (Symar Tell Me Your Secrets) was WB for another point at the cluster in NM. On Saturday, she placed second in a very competitive large class at the Turquoise Trail Borzoi Club's inaugural Specialty Show. Also on Saturday, brother Gunner (Ch. Symar Tell It To The Marines) was Best of Breed and BOB Owner Handled in Northern California. And on Sunday, brother Laser (Symar Light Show) took WD at the Black Mountain KC shows in Nevada!

September 12: Symar Tell it to the Marines (right) finishes his Championship in style at the Sir Francis Drake KC show in Vallejo CA. Here, he is handled by his Junior gal-pal, Audrey Boyer. Watch for the two of them in the Specials ring AND the Junior ring. We have high hopes for these two youngsters!

August 28: Symar Tell Me Your Secrets, BCAT (left), continues her winning ways by going WB at the beautiful Santa Barbara Kennel Club show!

August 19-22: And just the other side of the Rocky Mountains, Symar Tell Me Your Secrets, BCAT (Crush) was WB/BoW at the two-day Rocky Mountain Hound Association shows (Greeley, CO). She also was Best of Breed at the first show on Thursday.
On Saturday, she won Breed over Specials at the Greeley KC! Crush is a littermate to Gunner and Laser.

August 14 - 15: Meanwhile up in Northern California, Symar Tell It To The Marines (Gunner, right) was busy showing everyone how it's done. On Saturday at Golden Valley KC, he was WD for 2 more points. Then on Sunday, he took WD at the Borzoi Club of Northern California for another major. Gunner needs only 1 point for his Championship. He is owned by Barb Simpson and Sydney Burnside, and sired by GChB Estet Classic Tihomir out of GCh Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC.

August 14-15: Sunburst-Symar Paladin, JC is now sporting another title! Pending AKC confirmation, Paladin will be known as Champion Sunburst-Symar Paladin JC. This is the second Champion for Hal and Elli Mae in as many months.

July 23rd - 25th: Another winning weekend in Valley Center CA at the Cabrillo KC Shows. On Friday, Symar Light Show (Laser) was WD and his brother Symar Tell Me Somethin Good Tell Me That U Like It (Rufus) took home Reserve WD. Their sister Crush (Symar Tell Me Your Secrets) was WB and BoW. Then Sunday, Laser was again WD. Daddy T, left, (GCh Estet Classic Tihomir) grabbed two BoBs and one Best of Opposite sex, earning those last few points needed for his Grand Championship Bronze!

June 18th-20th: It was a good weekend for the Symar boy zois in Valley Center, CA, at the Bahia Sur Kennel Club! On Friday, Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It (Rufus) was WD/BoW. His brother, Symar Light Show (Laser) followed his lead and took WD on Saturday and Sunday. Way to Rock those Ribbons, boys!

May 8th and 9th: Sunburst-Symar Paladin, JC (Paladin) sweeps the Crawford County Kennel Club shows in Lima, Ohio and earning BOTH Majors! On Saturday, Paladin took Best of Breed over 4 Specials for a 5 point major!! Paladin's proud owners are Chris Moyer & Kelly Brunarski. He needs 4 singles to finish his Championship.

May 1st and 2nd: Sunburst-Symar Paladin, JC (Paladin) sweeps the Fort St. Clair Kennel Club shows in Dayton, Ohio with WD/BoB/BoW/BoBOH! On Saturday, Paladin was also OH Hound Group 4th.

May 1: Symar Light Show (Laser) goes WD/BoW at day 2 of Del Sur KC, Valley Center, CA!

April 30: Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It (Rufus) takes WD/BoW at Del Sur KC day 1 in Valley Center, CA!

April 23: Symar Tell Me Somethin' Good Tell Me That U Like It (Rufus) goes WD/BoW at Lake Mathews KC! His brother, Symar Light Show (Laser) takes Reserve WD

2020

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, most 2020 dog related events were cancelled throughout the country. The dogs missed running and we all missed seeing friends.

November 29: Symar-Kadlec Kiss and Tell (Sissy) owned by Gwen Little goes Winner's Bitch for 2 points in Yuma, Arizona!

November 20-22: Symar Tell It To The Marines (Gunner, right) owned by Barb Simpson makes a strong return to the ring winning BoW 3 straight days and garnering 6 more points!

October 25: Symar Tell Me Your Secrets (Crush) owned by Alexis Robertson earns her B-CAT title at the Santa Ana Valley KC Fast-CAT event, Anaheim, CA!

January 3 - 5: Three of the girls from the Show and Tell litter took turns winning their 12-18 month class at the Kennel Club of Palm Springs in Indio, CA. On Friday it was Jade (Symar Tell the World I'm Here) owned by Mark and Sydney Burnside. Saturday it was Sissy's turn (Symar Kadlec Kiss and Tell, owned by Gwen Little). On Sunday, Crush (Symar Tell Me Your Secrets, owner Alexis Robertson) took the blue ribbon. Congratulations, ladies!

2019

December 1: Symar-Sunburst What the Inferno takes a 4 point major at the Imperial Valley KC show in Yuma, Arizona!

-- AND -- younger brother Symar Tell It to the Marines (left) was WD/BoW for a 3 point major at the San Joaquin KC in NorCal!

November 17: Symar-Sunburst Rahabar v Drakon (below) earns his first 2 GRC points by placing first in a field of 5! Rashabar is from the "Elements Litter" and is owned by Josie and Mike Haumont of Nebraska.

November 2 & 3: Symar-Sunburst What the Inferno takes WB/BoW/BoS both days at the Western Doggie Roundup Circuit in City of Industry, CA!

October 26 & 27: After some time off to grow up a bit, Symar-Sunburst What the Inferno takes WB both days at KC Riverside

February 6: Symar Tell it to the Marines, a puppy from the "Show and Tell" litter wings its way to Northern California to join Barb Simpson in a life of show and performance. Good luck Gunner!

January 3: Another "Time in the City" pup heads out to Vegas to help cure the broken heart of a past borzoi owner. Good luck Leslie!

2018

December 1: Another "Time in the City" pup heads out to Sacramento, CA to help cure the broken heart of a past borzoi owner. You're in for a wonderful life!!

November 30: The third puppy from the "Time in the City" litter leaves for his new home in Long Beach, CA!

November 27: Another "Time in the City" puppy flies off to Baltimore, MD. Congratulations to the Wests on their new addition!

November 26: The first of the "Time in the City" litter leaves for her new home! Congratulations to Michelle Aarons on the beautiful red and white addition to your family!

November 14: Welcome 9 more puppies sired by Ch. Estet Classic Tihomir out of GCh. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC. 4 males and 5 females!

August 26: Welcome 9 puppies whelped on National Dog Day! 5 males and 4 females in all sorts of colors!

June 17-18: Ch. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC picks up 3 more Grand Champion points during the Summer Country Classic cluster in Valley Center, CA.

June 1: Ch. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC takes Select Bitch at KC Pasadena gaining more Grand Championship points.

April 14 and 15: Ch. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC goes Select Bitch and BOS, respectively at the Western Hound Association, adding 9 more points to her Grand Championship title.

January 28: Dober-Kopp Hu-Go Pirkadat wins a large Open bitch class and takes Reserve to a major at the Orange Empire show in Norco, CA.

2017

December 2: The last of the "Elements" litter leaves for his new home. Paladin now lives with Kelly Brunarski in Ohio.

October 29: Symar I Heard I Was In Town wins BOB and BOB/OH at the KC of Riverside, Perris, CA. Towner is handled by his co-owner pal, Kim Grant.

October 20: Symar-Sunburst Rashabar v Drakon from the "Elements" litter leaves for Nebraska to live with Josie and Mike Haumont!! He has big pawprints to fill following his father, but we are certain he will capture the hearts of everyone he meets!

October 7: The first of the "Elements" litter leaves for her new home. Congratulations to Michelle Aarons of La Jolla, CA and her baby "Lola" (Symar-Sunburst Happiest Place on Earth)

August 8: 4 puppies arrive! 2 boys and 2 girls. Looks like they will be black brindle with white markings.

July 12: Ultasound shows 4 puppies for Hal and Elli Mae! Puppies due about August 10th!

June 4th: Riley Capton earns her SEVENTH Best Junior in Show, qualifying her for Westminster 2018! Shoyo and Elli Mae are proud to be a part of her amazing journey!!

May 20th: Dober-Kopp Hu-Go Pirkadat takes Reserve to a major from the 12-18 month class. This is Kada's first time in the ring!

April 16th: Riley and Shoyo show their hearts out and win Reserve Best Junior in Show at Day 2 of the Western Hound Show at Silverado Park.

April 15th: Towner is Reserve Winners Dog to a Major at Western Hound Show at Silverado Park, handled by Jax Nolan. A lovely day with beautiful dogs!

January 28th: Symar I Heard I Was in Town goes Best of Winners at Orange Empire Kennel Club! Towner and his co-owner Kim Grant floated around the ring!!

January 6th: Ch. Sunburst Ellicit Dream, JC wins first AOM at the Inland Empire Hound Show, Palm Springs, CA. Elli Mae is always handled by her pal Jax Nolan.

2016
